Supplier checklistInstant tea powder supplier checklist
Use this checklist to compare instant green tea, jasmine, oolong or black tea powders before approving a supplier and bulk order.
A complete supplier review covers product identity, formulation performance, batch documents, bulk packing, MOQ and lead time, export terms and a written process for handling non-conforming goods.
Product identity
- Product name, code and full ingredient declaration.
- Tea type and whether the product is an extract or whole-leaf powder.
- Recommended dosage, water temperature and mixing method.
- Storage conditions and shelf life.
Performance in your formulation
Test dissolution, clarity, sediment, tea flavour and colour under the same preparation conditions used by your customer. Milk, fruit, sweetener and processing can change the result, so approve the product in the final recipe.
Quality and documentation
| Before sample approval | Request the current specification and sample identification. |
|---|---|
| Before bulk production | Agree required parameters and ask which testing can be provided for the production batch. |
| Before shipment | Check lot identification, net weight, carton information, remaining shelf life and agreed shipment documents. |
| Certificate review | Verify the named holder, product scope and expiry date on each certificate. |
Commercial terms
- MOQ by SKU and pack size.
- Current price basis and quotation validity.
- Sample cost and courier charge.
- Production or stock lead time.
- Incoterm, payment schedule and destination.
Questions about continuity
Ask how the approved product code is carried into reorders, what information identifies each batch and how changes to composition, specification or packing will be communicated. Agree who to contact when delivered goods do not match the written order.
